Carapax was a rival archaeologist of Dan Garrett, the original Blue Beetle. When Garrett died on Pago Island Carapax went to the island to figure out exactly what Garrett was looking for or researching there. He never found out, but did find the secret lab of Jarvis Kord. Carapax was fascinated by a robot he found in the lab, and tried to activate it, but only managed to electrocute himself. At the moment of death Carapax's mind was transferred into the robot. |
