Though her origins are cloaked in mystery and secreted within the bedchambers of Darkseid’s citadel on Apokolips, it is believed that Mortalla was once quite human, one of the many hapless earthlings tortured and experimented on by Desaad in his long travails to discern and decode the elusive Anti-Life equation for his master. Once stripped of her humanity through Desaad’s biotechnology, Mortalla transcended mortality acquiring near god like powers with which she has wrought evils and atrocities beyond measure or redemption as Darkseid’s clandestine concubine. |
