| Dez Trevius was born a serf into a noble culture of rich tradition and ritual, ruled by an order of holy mercenary warriors, Assassin Templar's who valued power and honour over all else. As a serf he was forbidden to take up a weapon, forbidden to participate in pilgrimage's of holy assassination, and while he had been taught from an early age not to covet this unattainable power, he still knew a longing for that which was meant to be outside of his grasp. Dez became the lover of Brae Well, the greatest of the Assassin Templar's, who taught his lover the art of the blade. Rumours of the affair reached the ears of the Daimyo, hearing of Brae's dalliances with a lowly serf, he arranged a marriage between Caru Aris and Brae Well. Despite his love for Dez, Brae felt bound by honour to accept the proposal and viciously rejected him. Dez took his revenge slaughtering his former lover and his people, becoming a phantasm stalking the Realm of Lords. |
