Red Lion is a highly accomplished leader and military tactician. He is a expert hand-to-hand combatant and an excellent marksman.

Body Armour: Red Lion's suit is made out of a Promethium-mesh. Promethium is an extremely strong material and provides a high degree of protection from physical and energy attacks.

Claws: Red Lion's suit of Promethium Armour boasts retractable claws. These claws are also made out of Promethium and can therefore cut through extremely dense and tough materials.

Energy Absorption: Red Lion's promethium armour can absorb most forms of energy. This energy is then used to enhance Bland, usually by making him stronger and faster then humanly possible.

Origins:

Matthew Bland is a dictatorial despot and President-for-life of the African nation of Buredunia. Committing ethnic genocide in his country, he hired Deathstroke to ensure that U.S. Congressman Hasgrove was re-elected, because Hasgrove was preventing American intervention in his corner of Africa. After getting Deathstroke to change into the Ikon Suit, Bland gained possession of Slade's old Promethium armour, and re-fashioned it into his own, adopting the identity of the Red Lion.
