Talia is the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul and the mother of Damian Wayne. Much of her background is not clearly explained though her history is relatively well known. Ra’s met her mother (sometimes referred to as Melisande) at the Woodstock Musical Festival. She was a woman of Chinese and Arab descent. Her mother died soon after her birth (possibly killed by one of Ra’s' former servants). After her death Talia, travelled the world with her father learning and adapting his intellect and skills, which she proved to be more competent at than any of Ghul's other children. She excelled to the point of managing his criminal and legitimate operations, she was eventually appointed as Ghul's primary secondary despite the fact that Ghul considered women to be inherently inferior to men. |
