| Fred Fleming’s parents were scientists working on a government research project known as the Englewood Project. The Project was an attempt to harness a radical new source of energy; virtual particles (Dark Matter) that had been detected in seemingly empty spots in space. Fleming’s parents were using a cyclotron to try to stimulate the particles when there was an energy leak that they were exposed too, the other members of the project managed to protect themselves. Soon after the leak Mr.s Fleming gave birth to their son Fred. When Fred was three his Mother died and a year after his Father also died as a result of their exposure to the energy leak. |
