| Lionel Jefferies is a mutant able to alter and reshape organic materials. He is the brother of Madison Jefferies (Box) of Alpha Flight. Lionel unlike his brother accepted his abilities and trained to be a surgeon. When the Vietnam War began Lionel enlisted as a medic in the United States Army and his brother as a master mechanic. During a patrol his squad was blown to pieces and as a result Lionel went insane as he tried using his powers to put the dead back together and restore their lives. His brother Madison captured him and he was placed in a secure unit at a Montreal hospital. Eventually he escaped and was drawn into conflict with Alpha Flight and his brother Madison turned his own healing powers inward on himself. Supposedly cured Lionel went on to practice again at the ‘New Life Clinic’. When Alpha Flight brought their own seriously ill and insane colleague Roger Bochs to Lionel it became apparent that Lionel had never been cured at all. Using his powers he joined his body with Roger Bochs in order to use his inventive powers. The two form the creature known as Omega. | ||||
