| Approached by General Ryker sometime after his brother Glenn was killed in action while pursuing the incredible Hulk, Brian Talbot agreed to undergo experimental procedures in order to get revenge against the jade giant. Having the blood of the Hulk injected into his body along with some of the DNA of the Leader, to keep any potential uncontrollable rampages in check, the powerhouse codenamed Grey was born.
