Organic matter is instantly killed and/or continues to break down in decay. Non-organic matter is disrupted as if subjected to natural forces of erosion. | |||||||

| Yoshiro Hachiman was a 44-year old efficiency expert in Stark-Fujikawa Inc.'s personnel division. A solitary man, with no known friends or living family, Hachiman was widely disliked at his workplace-- the general opinion was that he enjoyed firing people, thus earning the nickname "Hatchet Man." However, he simply held a passion for efficiency and elegance in all things and, most surprisingly, in the arts. Hachiman has for many years been a supporter of the opera, of museums, theatre, and other arts groups. | ||||
| More recently, Hachiman was sent to study the efficiency of Stark-Fujikawa's geothermal plant off Tahiti's north coast during the awakenings of the Exemplars worldwide. Hachiman jumped over the offshore platform to enter the lost undersea temple and discover the verdant vial of Valtorr, becoming transformed into the Exemplar known as Decay. | ||||
