Emotion Control: Shock can generate terror in others via generation of a chemical similar to the "flight scent" pheromone generated by herd animals. She can also generate hatred and rage. Rather than just generating raw, primal fear like her predecessors, she actually causes her victims to see their greatest fear. | |||||||
Claws: Shock has a set of talons. |

During his teens, wealthy wastrel Alan Fagan romanced Cora Tremmore, who bore their daughter, Ariel. He promised financial support but reneged; Cora took menial jobs to support Ariel, whom she raised to disdain Fagan. Much later, Cora was injured in a fire. To pay for the treatment, an adult Ariel resorted to theft and prostitution; meanwhile, Fagan, as Mr. Fear used fear inducing gas during his crimes, but was eventually imprisoned. To both punish him and outdo him in crime, Ariel paid inmates to skin his face, then hired designer drug chemist Bobby Boyle to extract fear gas permeated chemical from Fagan’s skin and synthesise them to mutate her when ingested, she the adopted the identity Shock. |
