| Fire Generation and Control: Shadrac’s body generates fire and flames constantly. Shadrac can project the flames out ward in controlled bursts or release them in an explosive burst. The flames act as body armour by melting bullets etc. and his body causes damage to unprotected attackers. | |||||||

| When scientist Greg Herd and his wife Ann went under the employ of Carolyn Trainer (aka: Dr. Octopus II), and assumed the identities of Override and Aura their life became plagued with nothing but bad luck. On their first mission for Doc Ock II they faced defeat at Ben Reilly's hands, and then as they reassumed their super villain identities in order to collect the bounty that was placed on Spider-Man's head during the "Spider-Hunt". However it was following Override and Aura's confrontation with Spider-Man that a bounty hunter had released a stray blast, seriously injuring Ann. | ||||
| While trying to help Ann, Override came into contact with Norman Osborn, becoming an associate of his, an act that led to Greg's involvement in the Gathering Of Five. Hoping to save Ann's life Greg took part, hoping to recieve the gift of Knowledge with which to cure Ann. However, Greg recieved death, and his body began to slowly deteriorate, leaving a skeletal being engulfed by flames. Shadrac was born. | ||||
