Enhanced Abilities: Mauler has super human strength, agility, endurance and durability.

Body Armour: Mauler,'s power-suit gives hum a high degree of protection from physical and energy attacks.

Life-Support: An internal life support systems can keep a wearer functional for several days.

Flight: Electric, air-breathing turbines in the calves of the suit allow the wearer to fly.

Weapons Systems: On the right arm of the suit, a solid state laser cannon is mounted, as well as an electron particle gun (which uses the laser cannon in short-pulse mode as a guide). The left palm can generate a high-frequency electric shock.

Origins:

Mauler is a multi-purpose combat suit that stands for Mobile Armoured Utility Laser-guided E-beam Revised developed by industrialist Edwin Cord, president of Cord Conglomerate for the United States Department of Defence. The suit was a prototype to be mass produced and used by the US Army.

Aaron Soames was an elderly, former employee of Cord Conglomerate deprived of his pension benefits by a computer error. Soames stole the prototype suit in the hopes of punishing Edwin Cord, who was indifferent to Soames' plight.
