Psychic Vampire: Hungry feeds on the emotions of other beings, notably hopelessness and despair. His vampirism allows him to possess individuals and alter reality for a limited time. |

Originally appearing in ancient Africa, the being calling itself Hungry may be either a demonic entity or a primal mutant from the dawn of humanity. It warred with local tribes before being imprisoned in a temple created to appease it. Over centuries, it's power radiated beyond the temple again, strengthened by the growing hopelessness of a starving epidemic and targeted the X-Men, possibly due to it's connection to their member Storm, who's ancestors were amongst those who once battled it. |
