The Grim Reaper possesses no superhuman powers, but does wield a scythe in place of his right hand.
Battle Scythe: The Grim Reaper’s scythe is made of an extremely durable material and contains several advanced weapons that include: A Force Blaster, Cerebral Stunner, Knock Out gas and a blade spinner that allows it to act as a buzz-saw, as a shield and allows a safe fall from any height.
Zombie Powers: When the Grim Reaper died he was reanimated by Nekra and had the following powers: Invulnerability to the effects of heat, cold, radiation, toxins, and disease. He possessed some degree of invulnerability to physical and energy attacks, and could not be killed. Later, Williams was given a vampiric ability to drain the life force of his victims in order to sustain his own zombie nature, leaving his victims mummified. |

Eric Williams is the brother of Simon Williams, and he preferred to follow a criminal career rather than join the family electronics business, a business, which Simon Williams was forced to embezzle from to cover Eric’s criminal activities. Later, Simon became the superhumanly powerful Wonder Man, joining with the Masters of Evil in an attempt to destroy the hero team Avengers. However, Simon sacrificed himself to save the Avengers and perished in the process. Eric Williams went mad with grief and wrongly blamed the Avengers for Simon’s death. Armed with a high-tech miniature arsenal in the form of a scythe, Williams dubbed himself the Grim Reaper and set out to kill the Avengers in his brother’s memory. |
