Chemistro possesses no superhuman abilities, but relied on a hi-tech gun. | |||||||
Alchemy Gun: Chemistro’s "Alchemy Gun" produces a laser-like beam which transmutes any substance it touches into another desired substance, such as turning lead into gold. Transformed substances are atomically unstable and eventually crumble into powder. |

Curtis Carr was a research scientist working for the auto manufacturing company, Mainstream Motors. Dissatisfied with his duties, Carr devoted his time to create his "Alchemy Gun" which could transmute substances. When Carr revealed his invention to the head of the company, his boss decided to keep the gun, as it was developed on company time. Carr refused and was fired immediately. Wanting revenge, Carr undertook physical training and developed a costume and identity as Chemistro. |
