Robotics expert turned comedian Joey Cosmatos obtained a suit of Obadiah Stane's Iron Monger Armour from one of Stane's workers. Wanting to check that he was still a good engineer, he modified the armour to his own design. | ||||
A gangster named Desmond, who had dealings in clubs where Comsatos worked, obtained the armour and kidnapped Cosmatos' daughter Nicole, demanding one million dollars for her. One of Desmond's thugs, Slagmire, donned the armour. When Cosmatos tried to obtain the money from his old acquaintance Anthony Stark, Iron Man became involved in the situation and battled Slagmire. |
