| Dr. Eric Shanner was an old man who was strongly opposed to nuclear energy. In order to convince the world of its dangers, Shanner created the Nuclear Family, a group of sentient robots whose individual powers mimicked the stages of a nuclear explosion. Shanner intended to use the robots to cause a meltdown at Esperanza Canyon Nuclear Power Plant to cause Californian’s to die from radiation poisoning as his own family had. | ||||
